LA Rising fm is the 20 year (re) visitation of the 1992 Los Angeles Uprisings. Grounded by the KJLH achieves, the film enters back in time where 102.3 fm was the only outlet of information and journalism in a time where all other media organizations refused to enter South Central Los Angeles. Mandated by Stevie Wonder, the station's owner, to stop Playing music and start taking calls, which brings forward the voice of an agonized and disenfranchised neighborhood comes to life in unprecedented brevity.
