DIY musicians, producers and songwriters

Katie, Naomi and Josette are instantly interesting because they embody a DIY sensibility not seen since the early 90s among girl bands.  For their second activation, I propose a short video that highlights their instrumentation, DIY producing and songwriting process.  The video should also show the uniqueness of them being a trio of friends who collaborate creatively.

Questions they could address in the video:  What was it like songwriting in Crown Heights, after years of being based around USC?  Who are their musical influences? How did they learn how to produce their own music? What gear, instruments, interfaces and software do they use?  How do they collaborate among the three of them?  There’s a huge “cool” factor in their virtuosity and technical range.

If they're slammed from being on tour, they could answer these questions in the form of Periscope episodes before or after a show.  This would have the advantage of giving fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of life on tour, and also fit their DIY sensibility.
